About

Andrew Abrahamsen is a multi-genre pianist, composer, singer, and teacher from Hackensack, NJ. He holds a BFA in Music Composition from Carnegie Mellon University and has written over 70 works across film, jazz, musical theatre, Latin, pop, and classical styles.

With 24 years of piano experience specializing in jazz, Andew currently performs every Sunday at Chez Josephine as a singer and pianist.

He has also performed in New York and Shanghai venues including Carnegie Hall, the Rose Theatre at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Ars Nova and Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre. His original musical “pato, pato, maricón” was recorded at Playbill studios. 

Andrew is also the Co-Founder of Music Wallcharts, a music education company used in over 30 schools that provides visual and interactive resources that make music theory approachable and exciting.
